Barcaldine Mission District takes in the townships of Aramac, Jericho, Alpha & Barcaldine.
The Mission District stretches from the Drummond Range in the East to 50 Km's West of Barcaldine, and roughly 100 km's to the North and 50 Km's to the South of Barcaldine. Total area is roughly 37,500 Sq Km's.
The region is largely grazing country with Sheep & Cattle being the most prominent animals grown. Wool production is a primary source of income for many of the grazers.
There is the possibility of coal mining in the North Eastern Corner of the Parish.
In addition to primary production there are other industries in the parish that support the agriculture industry.
Our Ministry in the name of Jesus Christ is part of that support network as we seek to bring Christ to those on the land and living in our towns.
